Copper Grade (%) and Lithium Grade (% Li₂O)
Copper grade: Expressed as a percentage. 1% copper means 10 kilograms of copper per tonne of rock. Copper deposits tend to be larger but lower-grade than gold deposits, which means even grades of 0.3 -- 0.5% can be economic at scale.
Lithium grade: Expressed as percentage of lithium oxide (Li₂O), the industry standard. Lithium deposits are often discrete bodies rather than continuous veins, so consistency and geometry matter as much as headline grade.
