KYC/AML onboarding and wallet connection
Minestarters offers three ways to create an account and connect a wallet:
Email signup Platform generates an embedded wallet for you
Google/Apple SSO One-click signup using your existing account
Direct wallet connection Connect your own external wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, etc.)
Option A: Email Signup (Embedded Wallet)
Navigate to app.minestarters.com and click "LOG IN / SIGN UP"
Enter your email address and click SUBMIT
Check your email for a 6-digit verification code
Enter the code in the OTP field (format: XXX-XXX)
Upon successful authentication, your account is created and an embedded wallet is automatically assigned
Option B: SMS/Phone Signup
Navigate to app.minestarters.com
Select your country code from the dropdown (e.g., US +1)
Enter your phone number
Click SUBMIT
Check your phone for an SMS verification code
Enter the code to complete authentication
Upon success, your account is created and an embedded wallet is automatically assigned
Benefit: No email required — ideal for mobile-first users who prefer SMS verification.
Option C: Google/Apple SSO
Navigate to app.minestarters.com and click "LOG IN / SIGN UP"
Click "Google" or "Apple" button (or "More Options" for additional providers)
Authenticate with your existing Google/Apple account
Upon successful authentication, your account is created and an embedded wallet is automatically assigned
Benefit: No email verification code required — faster onboarding using credentials you already have.
Option D: Direct Wallet Connection
Navigate to app.minestarters.com
Click "Continue with Wallet"
Select your wallet provider from the options:
MetaMask - Browser extension or mobile wallet
Coinbase Wallet - Coinbase's self-custody wallet
Base - Base network wallet
Other wallets - WalletConnect and additional supported wallets
Approve the connection request in your wallet
Sign the authentication message to verify ownership
Your existing wallet is now linked to your Minestarters account
Benefit: Use your own self-custody wallet — maintain full control of your private keys.
Wallet Status After Onboarding
Regardless of signup method, your wallet address appears in the top-right corner of the interface (e.g. 0x941E...317A). The status indicator shows:
Identity Verification (KYC) Flow
KYC is required for all account types before investing. Minestarters uses Sumsub for identity verification. The process takes 2–5 minutes:
Click "COMPLETE KYC" from any vault page or your profile
Review the Sumsub security notice confirming verification is for minestarters.com
Select your issuing country from the dropdown document options adapt by jurisdiction
Upload the front side of your document (JPG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, or PDF up to 50MB)
Upload the back side if required for your document type
Complete the liveness check: Position your face within the circular frame while the camera verifies you are a real person
Upon success, you see "Identity Verified" your wallet indicator changes from ⚠️ to ✓
Document options by country:
France: ID Card, Passport, Residence Permit, Driver's License
India: Aadhaar, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, Residence Permit, Driver's License
Other countries: Options vary by local document types
Tip: If document upload is difficult on desktop, use the "Continue on phone" option to complete via mobile camera.
